From the 6th to the 10th of November, The Clumsies transformed its space with authentic Asian decor and played host to 5 of Asia’s best bars. First bar on the list, on 6th of November, was Zuma (placed in the World’s 50 Best Bars in 2015 and in the top 50 in Asia for 2016). Under the ever-enterprising Jimmy Barrat, this sake bar brought a touch of Japan to Dubai and recently in Athens. The next day, Manhattan cocktail bar (5th best in Asia and the 11th in the World’s 50 Best Bars) followed. Philip Bischoff and Gabriel Carlos brought some of Asia’s luxury behind the bar of The clumsies. 28 Hong Kong Street (#1 spot in Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2016 and #14 in the World’s 50 Best Bars) was the third bar on the list. A hard to find haunt in bustling Singapore with world famous names behind its bar that lent some of their talent to the Athenean bar. The 9th of November found Antonio Lai and Samuel Kwo behind the stick of The Clumsies. These two unbelievably creative bartenders came staight from Quinary (3 times in the World’s 50 Best Bars and 6th place in Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2016) in order to show their progress and achievements in molecular mixology. The amazing “5 days Asia’s best bars project @ The Clumsies” ended with the bartenders from Speak Low. They both brought their super energy and talent from the secret Shanghai location, which has achieved to enter in Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2016 (#2) and in the World’s 50 Best Bars (#15). (It’s the baby of Shingo Gokan, who himself is a winner of the 2012 international Bacardi Legacy Cocktail competition). During those five days, The Room @ The Clumsies first floor hosted another pop up bar, this time Ruby from Copenhagen (#44 in the World’s 50 Best Bars).
